Many people in Olmstead who end up in drug rehab are dual diagnosis clients with co-occurring mental and substance abuse problems. Surprisingly, as many as 1/3 of those who struggle with mental health issues in Olmstead also become involved in substance abuse at some time in their lives. This in itself can sometimes help resolve addiction issues and put the individual in a position to receive treatment for both disorders so that they have a good chance of remaining abstinent and psychologically healthy in the future.
