Short-term drug rehab and alcohol treatment services in Washington are ordinarily delivered in an inpatient or residential facility for a time period of 30 days or less. While long term drug rehab requires at least a 90 day stay and a much more rigorous course of treatment, short-term drug rehab and alcohol treatment services work by getting the addicted person abstinent through detoxification followed by a brief course of counseling and therapy to lightly deal with addiction issues. Since it usually takes several weeks if not months to truly address all issues which might cause relapse once they go back into the real world, short-term drug rehab and alcohol treatment services may not be adequate for those in Washington who have a seriousaddiction and/or dependence to drugs and alcohol.
